In a recent series of Wall Street Journal opinion editorials, columnist Holman Jenkins Jr. has argued that military UAP encounters might be the result of a "secret military laser program", which he suggested might have been tested on active-duty pilots and that the Pentagon “may know exactly what [UAP] are.” His criticisms of the topic, and of military personnel who have had such encounters, recently evoked a response from former Navy fighter pilot Ryan Graves, who wrote in a rebuttal published by The Debrief that "This kind of cynical speculation gives rise to the stigma that has long surrounded UAP. Not only does it have a chilling effect on military and commercial pilots coming forward, but it also discourages scientists from pursuing funding to study these phenomena."
This week, we dive into the controversy surrounding UAP and the military, as we examine the testimony of pilots who say they have encountered anomalous phenomena while on duty, as well as the opinions of various commentators who suggest that UAP are likely to be nothing more than secret government technologies. Is there a large-scale deception underway, in an effort to guard the "real" truth about UAP from the public... and even active-duty members of the military who encounter them? We explore these, and other possibilities in this week's installment of The Micah Hanks Program.
